When someone allows you to bear his burdens, you have found deep friendship.
I know that sometimes it seems like nothing is happening in terms of our
spiritual growth. There are times when we don’t really feel like we are
changing, because as we look at ourselves every day, we don’t
necessarily see any changes. But as we are walking by faith day by day,
month by month, and year by year, we are being transformed.
Looking ahead is the process of creating the future before it happens.
People who learn to do it “understand where they are going.”
Great faith results in total surrender to His will
If you do not wish to be prone to anger, do not feed the habit; give it nothing which may tend to its increase
If you abandon everything to Jesus, and come when He says, “Come,” then He will continue to say, “Come,” through you. You will go out into the world reproducing the echo of Christ’s “Come.”
A saint realizes that it is God who engineers his circumstances;
consequently there are no complaints, only unrestrained surrender to
Jesus. Never try to make your experience a principle for others, but
allow God to be as creative and original with others as He is with you.
If you will give God your right to yourself, He will make a holy experiment out of you— and His experiments always succeed.
Show me somebody who hasn’t decided, and I’ll show you somebody who has no identity, no personality, no direction.
